Liverpool Weigh Up ‘Submitting A Firm Offer’ For 34M Rated La Liga Hotshot

Liverpool are considering “submitting a firm offer” for Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak, according to El Nacional.

The notoriously unreliable Catalan publication claims that manager Jurgen Klopp wants to bring in a recognised number nine in the January transfer window and he has identified the Swedish international as the main target.

It is believed that the Reds are willing to table a bid in the region of €40m (£34m) for Isak, but that is unlikely to be enough, considering Sociedad raised his release clause from €70m (£59.75m) to €90m (£76.81m) in the summer.

Isak has been in decent form so far this season, with the 22-year-old scoring five goals and providing one assist in 13 appearances, but there are expected to be other suitors for the striker.

Both Manchester United and Arsenal are believed to be keeping track of the player, while a number of other top European clubs are also thought to be in the mix.
