Liverpool “will go for” Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho if he is available for the right price, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The Catalan publication reports that Barca have told the Brazilian’s representatives that they don’t want to sell the player this summer.
However, Coutinho is keen on leaving the Camp Nou after just eighteen months, and it is believed Barcelona will use the player as a bargaining chip in their negotiations to re-sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain.
The 27-year-old would not be against a move to PSG but his priority is reportedly to return to the Premier League.
Manchester United is not an option as they are not in the Champions League, while Chelsea can’t sign anyone due to a transfer ban.
It means Liverpool would be Coutinho’s best chance of returning to England but the Reds would only make their move, Mundo Deportivo reports, if the Brazilian international is available at a discount price.
