Liverpool’s Dealt Blow In Race For 57.5M Rated Midfield Dynamo As Report Confirms He’s Keen On Move To Another Team

Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has told Juventus that he is “open” to joining the Serie A club, according to the Gazzetta Dello Sport.

The Italian newspaper believes that the Argentinian international, who has been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in recent days, could be set for a switch to Italy:

It should be noted that transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has stated that Brighton will hold out for a fee in the region of €65m (£57.5m) for Mac Allister, which is a figure that Juve would struggle to pay.

For Liverpool, that asking price is unlikely to be seen as prohibitive but a lot will depend on whether manager Jurgen Klopp sees the 24-year-old as a priority target.

Funds will be needed to finance a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham next summer, while there is clearly interest in Benfica’s Enzo Fernandez as well.

It may be the case that, if Bellingham or Fernandez prove to be out of reach, the Reds will decide to go after Mac Allister instead.
