Liverpool left-back Andy Robertson has laid his cards down on the table on who he thinks should be named the PFA Player of the Year this season.
The left-back is backing his captain Jordan Henderson to get the award for his leadership qualities that have helped marshall the Merseyside club’s title challenge:
“For me, I think he’s the leading candidate [for player of the year]. At times this season when we’ve struggled Hendo has been the one that has driven us forward. He’s the one who has made sure we don’t get slack, or he has chipped in with some really important goals or really important assists.”
Henderson is not the only player who will be considered for the accolade, though. Press the “next page ” as we look at four Liverpool stars who could well be in contention for the prize.
