Liverpool’s Opponents In The Champions League Quarter Finals Have Been Revealed

Liverpool have been drawn against Real Madrid in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. Although it will certainly not be an easy tie, the Reds will be glad to have avoided the likes of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain.

Real are not the same team that beat Jurgen Klopp’s side in the 2018 Champions League final. Although they are reigning La Liga champions, they scraped through their group after losing to Shakhtar Donetsk both home and away.

Their league form hasn’t been great either, having drawn six and lost four of their 27 matches this season, finding themselves six points behind city rivals Atletico heading into the final eleven games.

Of course, with Liverpool also struggling for form since the New Year, the Reds will probably still go into the clash as underdogs but there will be some optimism about progressing in the competition.

In terms of the other quarter-finals. City will play Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea have the easiest tie, having been drawn against Porto. Holders Bayern Munich will face their opponents in last season’s final PSG.
