Liverpool Back In For £43m Rated Italian Teenage Prodigy But Are Poised For Face Off With United And City

Liverpool are keen on signing Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Reds have been linked with the Italian international in the past but these fresh claims suggest manager Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of the 19-year-old and could well be tempted to make a move for the player in the summer.

Tonali is also said to be interesting the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Juventus but Brescia president Massimo Cellino is believed to be holding out for at least €50m (£43m).

That is an expensive price tag considering the teenager has only played 18 league games in the Italian top flight. He has, though, been compared to Andrea Pirlo and his talent led to him being called up by Italy manager Roberto Mancini when he was still playing in Serie B.

Juventus are reportedly to be the favourites currently, with Tonali likely keen to stay in Italy but Liverpool’s interest could well change things.
