Luis Suarez’s Potential Return To Liverpool Unlikely After He ‘Pushes’ For Move To Another Club

Liverpool’s chances of re-signing Barcelona forward Luis Suarez have taken a hit by news that the Uruguayan has reportedly spoken to Juventus vice president Pavel Nedved about a move to the Serie A champions.

The 33-year-old is expected to leave Barca on a free transfer after being told by manager Ronald Koeman he doesn’t have a future at the La Liga club.

Former teams Liverpool and Ajax have been tipped as potential destinations for Suarez but Italian newspaper Tuttosport say it’s clear that the veteran striker “pushes” for a switch to Juve.

Nedved is believed to have spoken to the player over the phone and the plan is to sign both Suarez and Roma forward Edin Dzeko this summer.

It’s unlikely that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp had any interest in signing Suarez anyway but there are certainly a lot of fans who would have wanted the Uruguayan international to return to Anfield.
