Mane Explains Why Manchester City Was The Reason He Was Angry At Salah

Liverpool forward Sadio Mane says the desire to outscore Manchester City this season was the main source of his frustration with Mohamed Salah in the game against Burnley.

The Senegalese international says he remains good friends with his teammate but he is keen for the Reds to score as many goals as possible in their battle against the Citizens for the Premier League title:

“Things can happen in football. I had been a little bit frustrated because it is football and I wanted to score more goals. When you see (Manchester) City – for me, it was really important to score as many goals as we can but it can happen, he didn’t see me. Mo is a really good friend.”

Whether he is referring to goal difference or simply wanting to assure the three points, Mane’s explanation is a surprising one, but it does show the commitment that the Liverpool star has to winning the league this season and it indicates that if you are going to place a bet on the Reds to go one better this season it might well be worth checking the best of all betting sites to get the very best value odds you can before Liverpool have their odds shortened even more, as looks likely, given their incredible League form so far this campaign.

The 27-year-old Mane has not been in his best form over the past couple of games after picking up a dead leg in the win against Chelsea, but he will be hoping to get on the scoresheet once again when they face Red Bull Salzburg in the Champions League tomorrow night.
