Liverpool made life difficult for themselves after having to come from 2-1 down to beat AC Milan on Wednesday. Captain Jordan Henderson says he hopes the Reds learn from the mistakes they made late in the first half.
They will face a Crystal Palace side this weekend who are on a high after a comprehensive win against Tottenham last time out. Patrick Vieira’s side will feel they are coming to Anfield with nothing to lose.
In terms of Liverpool’s starting lineup. Alisson will start in goal, with Virgil van Dijk returning to the centre of defence ahead of Joe Gomez. Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold will keep their places, but manager Jurgen Klopp may opt to give Andy Robertson a rest, and start Kostas Tsimikas in this match.
In midfield, Naby Keita’s forward runs and progressive passing will be required to break down a stubborn Eagles’ defence, while Thiago may come in for Jordan Henderson, with Fabinho playing in the deeper role.
Up front, Sadio Mane is likely to reclaim his place from Divock Origi, with Diogo Jota and Mo Salah making up the rest of the eleven.
Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Crystal Palace:
Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Tsimikas, Thiago, Fabinho, Keita, Salah, Jota, Mane
