‘Man’s A Machine’ ‘Should Start Against Chelsea Finger’s Crossed’ Fans React As Liverpool Star Is Filmed Back On The Training Pitch

Liverpool left-back Andy Roberton has been filmed back out on the training pitch just ten days after picking up an ankle injury in the pre-season fixture against Athletic Bilbao.

The 27-year-old was not expected to be back in action until after the next international break but fans on Twitter are hopeful that the defender will be able to return to the team sooner than expected:

It would still be a massive surprise if Robertson was fit for the Chelsea game at the end of the month, but we shall see how his fitness work goes over the next couple of weeks.

Kostas Tsimikas did a solid enough job against Norwich City on the opening day of the season in Robertson’s absence, and the Greek international will be asked to deputise for the Scotland captain once again this weekend for the Burnley match.

However, with Robertson already back out on the grass, it remains to be seen whether Tsimikas will be needed for much longer.
