Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is now expected to leave Anfield on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to Sky Sports Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg.
The Guinean’s contract expires in June, and Plettenberg claims the player is attracting the interest of plenty of clubs; especially in Germany:
❗️News #Keita: The 27 y/o is on verge to leave #LFC as a free agent in summer! Contract extension unlikely at this stage. Many clubs are interested to sign him. But he won’t join Galatasaray. His return to 🇩🇪 is not excluded. Regular starter in the last 4 matches. @SkySportDE 🇬🇳 pic.twitter.com/DdNHN1Hfhk

Keita moved to the Reds from RB Leipzig for £52.75m in the summer of 2018, so a return to the Bundesliga does seem like the most likely option for the midfielder.
Premier League rivals such as Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea have been suggested as potential destinations, although any team would have to take a chance on his fitness.
One of the main reasons why Keita has struggled to make an impact in a Liverpool shirt is due to the sheer number of injuries he has picked up. Over the past four and a half years, the 27-year-old has missed 86 matches due to fitness problems and illness. He has only managed to make 127 appearances for the Merseyside club.
