Mark Lawrenson Predicts The Result As Liverpool Take On Leicester

Liverpool legend Mark Lawrenson is not expecting the Reds to pick up the three points when they travel to face Leicester at the King Power Stadium tomorrow lunchtime.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are still reeling from the 4-1 home defeat to Manchester City last weekend and Lawrenson believes his former club need to show some more consistency to pick up results:

“It was actually Liverpool’s away form that was more of a concern for them as recently as the turn of the year, but since then they have lost three on the bounce at Anfield, and had two good wins at Tottenham and West Ham.”

“If they can get back to the level that they showed in London, they won’t leave Leicester empty-handed. The problem is if they come up with another display like the one they produced against Brighton, or in the second half on Sunday, and I am not really sure which Liverpool to expect.”

Lawrenson has gone with a 1-1 draw in this one, which isn’t too surprising as the BBC pundit has rarely backed Liverpool to lose a Premier League game in his predictions.

Even so, this is likely to be a tightly fought contest, with the two sides pretty well matched. The Foxes are certainly in better shape than the Reds so you would back them to start strongly.

However, as Lawrenson mentions, Liverpool have put in a couple of strong away performances in recent weeks so there is a chance of them replicating that form tomorrow.
