Meeting Set For Tomorrow As Liverpool Step Up Attempts To Sign 40M Rated Midfielder Ahead Of Arsenal

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool will hold a meeting with Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma‘s agent tomorrow at their London offices, according to reports in the UK.

The Reds are facing competition from the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal, with the Gunners said to be their main rivals in the race for the player’s signature.

Bissouma is believed to be a fan of the London club, while his agent, Michael N’Cho, also represents Nicolas Pepe, so the meeting has been set up to determine how interested the 24-year-old is in moving to Anfield.

It is believed that Liverpool’s qualification for the Champions League group stages may improve their chances of signing the Malian international, with Arsenal having missed out on Europe entirely.

There is still an issue in terms of the transfer fee. Brighton will ask for a fee in the region of £40m and, with the Reds expected to shell out £34m on Ibrahima Konate, it is not known whether they can afford Bissouma as well.
