Milner And Konate To Start, Henderson And Matip Drop Out: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Wolves

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp may need to make at least a couple of changes for the game against Wolves today, despite their excellent performance in the Merseyside derby midweek.

While it is a dead rubber against AC Milan on Tuesday, you can’t expect the same players to put in the exact same levels of performance after just two days’ rest and the trip to Molineux will require some fresh legs.

Alisson will stay in goal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson keeping their places at fullback, but Ibrahima Konate may replace Joel Matip alongside Virgil van Dijk in the centre of defence.

In midfield, there may be a temptation to start Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain but the battling qualities of James Milner will be required for this game if Klopp does rotate. Jordan Henderson could be given a rest, with the vice-captain taking his place.

Up front, it’s hard to see anyone else but Sadio Mane, Diogo Jota and Mo Salah all starting, with Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino both expected to play at the San Siro next week.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Wolves:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson, Milner, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Jota, Mane
