Liverpool have to go for a win at Old Trafford tomorrow if they are to have any hope of securing a top-four finish this season.
The Reds will be counting on the fact that Manchester United may not be completely focused on the game, with the second leg of their Europa League semi-final next week but, even so, Jurgen Klopp side’s recent form doesn’t suggest they have it in them to get the three points.
Alisson will start in goal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson expected to be selected in the fullback positions. With Nat Phillips unavailable, it means Fabinho will likely play at centre-back once again alongside Ozan Kabak.
Klopp is unlikely to go with the 4-2-3-1 formation he used against Newcastle, so vice-captain James Milner may come back into the team, with Thiago and Georginio Wijnaldum making up the rest of the midfield three.
Up front, it will be a toss-up between Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino in terms of who will be dropped, and considering his poor performance versus the Magpies, Mane would be the favourite to miss out.
We could, therefore, see a frontline of Mo Salah, Firmino and Diogo Jota tomorrow evening,
