After the arrival of Naby Keita and Fabinho in the summer, many expected Georginio Wijnaldum to be moved down the pecking order this season, or even sold.
However, the Dutch midfielder has really come into his own, pushing himself to greater heights and making it very hard for manager Jurgen Klopp to drop him.
Fans have been full of praise for the Liverpool star after a Twitter user shared a video compilation of the 27-year-old in action:
Most underrated midfielder in the prem. Everybody be sleeping on him because he doesn't post numbers but this clip highlights what a baller he is.

Was solid last season… has become one of the first players I'd pick in the lineup this season. So tidy in possession!!!

Along with Joe Gomez he's probably been our most consistent & important player so far this season.

Iniesta must've donated him some of his technical ability.

Wijnaldum’s versatility has certainly helped him thrive in a Reds’ shirt. Bought from Newcastle as a number 10, he has progressively moved to play in deeper positions during his time at Anfield.
Currently, he is performing very well as a holding midfielder, playing alongside Fabinho in the last two games against Red Star Belgrade and Cardiff.
The Netherlands international will likely play the same role when Liverpool face Arsenal at the Emirates this evening.
