Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has suggested that goalkeeper Alisson Becker could well be back in training sooner than expected after making good progress in his recovery from a shoulder injury.
It was initially estimated that the Brazilian would be out for between four to six weeks but speaking at his pre-match press conference earlier today, Klopp claimed that the shot-stopper may return ahead of schedule:
“[It’s] very, very positive with Ali, it looks really good. [He’s] made big steps. I don’t have a timeframe, but it looks really good.”
Klopp may have not given an estimate as to when Alisson may make his comeback but fans on Twitter are delighted that the injury won’t keep him out for as long as first feared:
Music to my ears!

Alisson’s injury record over the past couple of seasons hasn’t been great, and it has meant that the Reds have relied more on number two goalkeeper Adrian than they would have liked to.
Supporters will be keeping their fingers crossed that the Spaniard can hold the fort a bit longer without making any more mistakes before Alisson’s return
