Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp once again selected Fabinho alongside Jordan Henderson at centre-half in the 4-1 defeat to Manchester City yesterday evening.
Despite signing Ozan Kabak and Ben Davies before the transfer window closed last month, Klopp has been reluctant to play either of his two new centre-back options so far.
However, after last night’s loss, many supporters on Twitter believe that both Fabinho and Henderson should be reinstated in central midfield, whilst allowing the new recruits to bed in:
That needs to happen sooner rather than later.

Put Phillips at CB along with Kabak. I don’t see what he has done wrong

Do you trust in your new defenders

We lose nothing playing Davis & Kabak all at once … Absolutely nothing otherwise we’ll be better off.

Play the new lads at the back and get the engine room ticking over and bench Thiago

He’s a world class CDM but a mid table CB .
Feel for him as doing a job for the team but needs to get back to No 6 role which will help protect the CB’s behind him ???

Right I mean the two new guys can’t be worst then hendo and fab.

Lets just get these two lads in at the back and get fabinho and hendo back in the middle. Top four and a crack at the european cup. Plenty still to play for

Klopp likes to give new signings time to get used to his system before selecting them to start matches but, considering the issues the Reds are having, he may need to make an exception this time.
Henderson and Fabinho are badly missed in midfield and you to have question why Liverpool signed Kabak and Davies if they are not going to play. It will be interesting to see what personnel changes Klopp makes for the Leicester match this weekend.
