Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss the game against Manchester City this weekend.
The right-back sustained an adductor injury in training earlier this week, and he is not expected to be back in action before the international break.
Supporters on Twitter feel it is a massive setback for Liverpool ahead of such a crucial match, and they are concerned about the lack of backup in the squad:

James Milner is expected to deputise for Trent on Sunday. It is certainly not the ideal scenario, considering the 35-year-old will likely be going up against Jack Grealish, but the veteran midfielder is a wise old head, who managed to keep Wilfried Zaha quiet only a couple of weeks ago.
It is definitely not a great position to be in, though, and those who feel that the Reds should have signed a backup option in the summer will be feeling that their criticisms of the club’s transfer business were justified.
