With Salzburg currently on their winter break, it means Minamino is in a position whereby he can finalise his transfer without disrupting his current club’s match preparations.
With the window opening at the start of January, the Reds will have to wait to make the transfer official but he will certainly add depth to Jurgen Klopp’s squad for the second half of the season.
Minamino has scored nine goals and provided 11 assists in 22 appearances this campaign, and Liverpool fans will be hoping he can carry on that form in the Premier League.
