Liverpool are keen admirers of Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, according to Goal‘s Reds correspondent Neil Jones.
The former Liverpool Echo journalist claims the 19-year-old is one of five potential candidates as the Merseyside club target a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum:
At LiverpooI, Gini Wijnaldum’s brilliance was often understated, but with the Netherlands it’s front and centre.
He’s been one of the stars of #EURO2020 so far, so why did #LFC let him walk away, and will they live to regret it?https://t.co/0VLX2BiKH3

Gravenberch has been linked with a whole host of teams in recent months, including Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal, and fans on Twitter are backing a potential swoop for the Netherlands international:

At this stage, it does seem unlikely that Gravenberch will be leaving Ajax this summer, with his father having already spoken about his son staying for at least one more year in Amsterdam to continue his development.
There are other names being considered, including Lille’s Renato Sanches, Borussia Monchengladbach’s Florian Neuhaus, Brighton’s Yves Bissouma and Aston Villa’s John McGinn, but there is no outstanding candidate that Liverpool have identified.
That may change in the coming days and weeks, and it will be interesting to see whether the Reds try their luck with a bid for Gravenberch.
