Liverpool pair Alisson Becker and Virgil van Dijk are keen to extend their contracts with the Merseyside club, according to reports in the English media.
The Reds are believed to have prioritised negotiations to ensure that two of the team’s key players are tied down for the long term. Needless to say, the news about the contract talks has gone down very well with supporters on Twitter:

Van Dijk joined from Southampton for £75m two years ago and has three and half years remaining on his current deal, but his outstanding displays for the club mean Liverpool are keen to make sure he stays committed for the rest of his career.
In Alisson’s case, the Brazilian international still has four and a half years to go on his contract, following his £67m arrival from Roma in the summer of 2018. He has proven to be a crucial part of the club’s recent success and the Reds are keen for the 27-year-old to extend his stay well into his 30s.
