Oxlade Chamberlain Out And Milner Out, Henderson And Fabinho In: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Arsenal

Liverpool’s match against Arsenal this evening is probably their biggest match of the season so far, and manager Jurgen Klopp will want his team to make a statement in this ‘big six’ clash.

The Gunners are a resurgent force and will come to Anfield full of confidence after winning their first two league games of the campaign. Manager Unai Emery may look to start record signing Nicolas Pepe and pair him with Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Cutting the supply to their front three will be a priority for Klopp, and winning the midfield battle will be crucial. With that in mind, it’s safe to assume that the Reds boss will go with his tried and trusted three in the middle of the park.

Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho are Klopp’s go-to men in midfield for the big occasions. James Milner and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could, therefore, miss out.

Liverpool may look to protect themselves from Arsenal’s front three with Joe Gomez at right-back in a more defensive backline, but the pace and creativity of Trent Alexander-Arnold will be needed to force their opponents back.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Arsenal:

Adrian, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane
