Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that captain Jordan Henderson will not be available to face Leicester City on Sunday.
It was hoped that the 30-year-old would make a swift recovery from a tight hamstring he picked up playing for England last weekend, but Klopp has said there is no chance that the midfielder will be fit.
Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara may be in contention to return, although it is highly unlikely both will start, and fans on Twitter are very frustrated with Henderson’s latest injury setback:
Pain.

It will be a tough game without Hendo. And with all the players in our defense missing, in such an important game.

Struggling to put together a starting eleven. Can Milner play twice?

It will be interesting to see who Klopp goes with in midfield with Henderson out of contention. Georginio Wijnaldum is almost guaranteed to start but the other two positions are up for debate.
James Milner could be selected but he may be used at right-back with Trent Alexander-Arnold sidelined with a calf problem, so that would leave Naby Keita and Curtis Jones. Thiago’s inclusion in the squad would be a boost but he hasn’t played for over a month so Klopp’s options are limited.
