Liverpool have added West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen to their list of transfer targets, according to The Athletic‘s James Pearce.
The usually reliable journalist claims that manager Jurgen Klopp is “a big fan” of the 24-year-old, who the Hammers signed for £25m eighteen months ago:
Jarrod Bowen is on Liverpool’s shortlist for potential attacking targets. Jurgen Klopp a big fan. Whether they reinforce the squad in that area in this window depends largely on whether Origi/Shaqiri move on. #LFC https://t.co/GqbOZf7r8k

Bowen is certainly not a name that would excite Reds supporters but Klopp undoubtedly has an eye for talent so fans would have to trust him if the Merseyside club do make a move for the player this summer.
The winger did perform well last campaign, scoring eight goals and contributing six assists in 40 appearances, but he hasn’t been anywhere near as prolific as he was for Hull City in the Championship.
It does appear that Liverpool are looking to bring in a forward as their next signing, but, as Pearce mentions, a deal is thought to hinge on the likes of Harry Wilson, Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi being sold, so we shall see if they do make a move for Bowen.
