Liverpool are not looking to sign Porto winger Luis Diaz this month, according to The Athletic journalist James Pearce.
The reporter, who is usually reliable when it comes to the Reds, claims the Merseyside club won’t pay the Colombian international’s £67m release clause, as they value him at roughly half that amount.
Reports had suggested that a £60m offer was being prepared for Diaz in the January transfer window, but supporters on Twitter are not particularly shocked about this latest update from Pearce:

Liverpool have been heavily linked with Diaz in the Portuguese and Colombian press in recent months, while the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Newcastle have also been credited with an interest in the player.
The 24-year-old has certainly been in excellent form so far this campaign, bagging 14 goals in 24 appearances for Porto, but his price tag has seemingly put the Reds off from making an approach.
