‘Please No… Wait For Upamecano’ ‘Awful Signing’ Fans Sceptical As Liverpool Are Linked With 27m January Swoop

Liverpool are considering a move for Schalke defender Ozan Kabak in the January transfer window, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Turkish international, who has been linked with Arsenal and Manchester United over the past couple of years, could be available for around €30m (£27m).

It is believed the Premier League champions could face competition from the likes of AC Milan for Kabak, but after a poor start to the season for Schalke, fans on Twitter are not sure whether a bid for the 20-year-old would be a good idea:

It really depends on what Liverpool are looking for. If they are targeting a genuine replacement for Virgil van Dijk then Kabak would probably not be the answer. However, if they are eyeing a young centre-back who could come in and be fourth choice then it may be a viable option at that price.

The Merseyside club’s other main target is believed to be Brighton’s Ben White who reportedly has a price tag north of £40m.
