Real Madrid have made Liverpool forward Sadio Mane their “top target” for the summer transfer window, according to the Mirror.
The newspaper says the Senegalese international could well be tempted by a new challenge, but Real are aware the Reds won’t let him go without a fight.
It is believed that the Spanish club could table a bid for Mane in the region of £130m to £140m when the window reopens at the end of the season.
Their manager Zinedine Zidane sees the 27-year-old as a key component in his summer recruitment drive, and it looks like his president Florentino Perez will back him to the hilt.
Whether such an offer will materialise in the summer, we shall have to wait and see. Mane has been linked with Real Madrid consistently over the past two years but, up until now, there has been no formal approach made for the player.
