Real Madrid offer up star forward in return for Mohamed Salah

Real Madrid have offered Liverpool Gareth Bale in return for Mohamed Salah, according to reports from Spain.

Salah enjoyed a brilliant first season at Anfield having joined the Reds from AS Roma last summer – scoring 44 goals in all competitions and 32 in the Premier League, which earned him the Golden Boot.

And his performances have attracted a number of Europe’s giants, including both Real Madrid and Barcelona, with the former ready now reportedly ready to offer up one of their own in return for the Egyptian hitman.

Don Balón report Madrid are prepared to offer Liverpool Gareth Bale in return for Salah after a difficult season for the Welshman at the Bernabeu.

Despite scoring a brace in the Champions League final in Madrid’s 3-1 over Liverpool, Bale found himself a bit-part player under former boss Zinedine Zidane, with the Frenchman preferring either Lucas Vazquez or Marcos Asensio.

However any potential swap deal for Bale/Salah is expected to be scuppered by Bale’s reluctance to move to Anfield, as well as Liverpool’s desire to keep hold of their talismanic forward.

Bale, 28, is thought to be prefer a move to either Manchester United or his former side Tottenham, and hence will reject the opportunity to move to Liverpool should it arise.

Liverpool have also been linked with Bale’s team-mate Marco Asensio but Real president Florentino Perez is less willing to let the Spaniard go.
