Real Madrid will tell Liverpool that Vinicius Jr is not for sale if they make a bid for the Brazilian this summer, according to OK Diario.
The Spanish website claims Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has “asked” the club to sign the 19-year-old as he looks to add more speed to his side’s attack.
Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho is seen as another potential option but Vinicius is said to be their primary focus at the moment.
The Brazilian international has not had as much game time as he would have liked this season, having started just 13 games in all competitions, but he is reportedly keen to stay at the Bernabeu.
Combined with Real’s desire to keep him, Liverpool’s attempts to sign Vinicius do look destined to end in failure.
Even so, the club are being linked with a number of pacey wingers in recent weeks, which suggests the Merseyside club are actively looking to strengthen their attack this summer.
