Reliable Journalist Confirms Liverpool And Chelsea Will Fight It Out Over 55M Rated Midfield Maestro

Liverpool will have to see off Chelsea if they want to land Wolves midfielder Matheus Nunes next summer, according to the Daily Telegraph reporter Mike McGrath.

The journalist, who is usually pretty reliable when it comes to transfer stories, claims Graham Potter’s side are expected to make a move for the Portuguese international at the end of the season.

Nunes was linked with both clubs before he joined Wolves from Sporting Lisbon for £44m last year and it appears that interest hasn’t faded since then.

Neither team will make an offer for the 24-year-old in January as FIFA regulations stipulate that a player can’t play for three different clubs in the same campaign.

Wolves are, though, said to be open to selling Nunes, with the Midlands club only expecting a modest profit on what they paid Sporting for the midfielder. It is believed £55m could be enough to secure his signature.
