REPORT: 20 Goal Forward Makes Decision Over Liverpool Switch Following Talks With Klopp

Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard has decided against making a move to Liverpool this summer, according to Anfield Central.

The website claim that the Frenchman talked on the phone with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp to get assurances over his game time.

However, with Klopp unable to provide any guarantees, Edouard is said to have made the decision that a switch to Anfield would not be in his best interests.

It is believed a deal was always a long shot anyway as the transfer relied heavily on Divock Origi moving in the other direction; something that the Belgian was not interested in doing.

Edouard does have a number of other suitors, including Arsenal and Leicester, so although he may not be playing for Liverpool next season, he could still end up at a Premier League club.

The France Under 21 international has been in decent form this season, scoring 20 goals in 37 appearances so it is not surprising that teams are taking a keen interest in him, especially considering he is closing in on the final year of his contract.
