Report Confirms Liverpool Are Scouting 95M Rated Midfield Duo Ahead Of Potential ‘Late Window’ Bid

Liverpool have received “positive reports” on Wolves’ Ruben Neves and RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer, according to 90min.com.

With manager Jurgen Klopp now admitting that the Reds do need a new midfielder before the transfer window shuts, it is believed both Neves and Laimer are being considered as targets ahead of a “late window” bid.

Laimer is thought to be the more likely option as he has less than a year left on his contract at Leipzig. It has been suggested that the Bundesliga club could be prepared to sell for between €25m (£21m) and €30m (£25m).

Bayern Munich have also attempted to snap up the Austrian international but their offer (said to be worth around €24m/£20m) was rejected.

Neves is likely to be a more difficult deal to negotiate. Wolves have reportedly slapped a £70m asking price on the Portuguese midfielder, and the valuation is believed to have already put off the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
