REPORT: Klopp Has £170m Summer Transfer War Chest With German Marksman His Top Target

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be handed €200m (£170m) to spend on new players at the end of the season, according to El Desmarques.

The Spanish website claims the Reds have made RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner one of their top targets for the summer, and they have already sounded out the German to secure his agreement ahead of a switch to Anfield.

Werner has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United but reports in Germany suggest that the 23-year-old would prefer to work under Klopp.

The German international thinks Liverpool have a similar style of play to his current team RB Leipzig, while he’s also after a coach who places 100% trust in him and he can communicate well with.

Klopp, therefore, ticks every box. El Desmarques say the Reds are keen to get a deal finalised as soon as possible with interest in Werner likely to increase as the season goes on. The German international has scored 25 goals in 26 games so far this campaign.
