REPORT: Liverpool Ace Poised For Loan Exit As He Undergoes Medical Ahead Of January Switch

Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke has had a medical at Crystal Palace ahead of a loan move, according to the Daily Mail.

The Eagles appear to have beaten the likes of Rangers, Brighton, Huddersfield and Bournemouth to the 21-year-old’s signature.

Solanke made 27 appearances for the Reds in all competitions last season but has failed to play a single minute of first-team football so far this campaign.

Manager Jurgen Klopp does not want to let the forward leave on a permanent basis as he feels the England Under 21 international still has the potential to breakthrough at Anfield.

However, in a bid to get more game time, Liverpool will sanction a temporary move for the rest of the season.

Palace have been struggling for goals recently and, after the defeat to Chelsea yesterday, manager Roy Hodgson admitted that Solanke is a target:

“It’s no secret he’s a target. He’s a proven goalscorer through all the age groups. He’s someone with the profile we’re looking for, and the ability we are looking for. We know him better from the England games, and the performances with England. If he comes here, it’ll be up to him to show he can do that in Premier League football.”

Solanke has scored one goal for Liverpool, coming on the final day of last season as the Reds thrashed Brighton 4-0.
