REPORT: Liverpool Add Five Names To List Of January Transfer Targets

Liverpool are considering bids for five different centre-backs as they look to recruit a replacement for Virgil van Dijk in the January transfer window, according to 90min.com.

The website claims that the Reds have already ruled out a move for Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly who is seen as too expensive and not the right age. However, they have identified some realistic alternatives.

RB Leipzig’s Dayot Upamecano, who is also a target for Manchester United, is believed to be on the list of names that Liverpool are considering. Former Manchester City target Jules Kounde is also being looked at, along with Dynamo Kyiv’s Mykola Matviyenko, who has been targeted by the Citizens and Arsenal in the past.

Villarreal’s Pau Torres, a previous target for Chelsea and United, is said to be a contender, along with Schalke’s Ozan Kabak. There is no mention of Brighton’s Ben White, though, who has been scouted by the Premier League champions in the last 12 months.
