Liverpool and Chelsea will be involved in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho this summer, according to BILD.
The German tabloid claims Dortmund’s decision to lower their asking price to €100m (£87m) has led to the two Premier League sides joining Manchester United in the mix for the England international.
It does appear that Dortmund are more open to selling Sancho than his teammate Erling Haaland. There is a great deal of interest in the Norwegian but it seems the Bundesliga side would much prefer to sell other players in order make up for the losses suffered during the global health crisis.
It must be pointed out that Sancho has not had the best season by his standards but a tally of 12 goals and 18 assists in 34 appearances is certainly not a bad return in anyone’s book.
The biggest issue, though, for Liverpool would be where the money would come from. The Reds aren’t expected to have a large transfer war chest, so any deal would be dependent on sales.
