REPORT: Liverpool Are ‘Willing To Offer’ 61M To Sign Portuguese Superstar In January

Liverpool would be “interested” in signing Atletico Madrid forward Joao Felix when the transfer window reopens in the New Year, according to Futbol Total.

The Spanish Twitter account claims that the Reds are “willing to offer” €70m (£61m) to secure the Portuguese international’s services:

Felix has been linked with a number of Premier League clubs over the past year, including the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal, with the player thought to be unhappy with his situation at Atletico.

It would, though, be wise to take this story from Futbol Total with a large pinch of salt. No reliable journalists have even suggested that Jurgen Klopp’s side are eyeing a move for Felix.

While he could be seen as an ideal replacement for Roberto Firmino, with the Brazilian expected to leave Anfield when his contract expires in June, Liverpool have already spent a sizeable sum on Darwin Nunez recently.
