Liverpool have agreed a fee of €97m (£85m) for Benfica midfielder Enzo Fernandez, according to Bola na Red journalist Luis Pinto Coelho.
Speaking on the Lei do Mercado podcast, the reporter claimed that an agreement is in place for the 21-year-old to make the switch to Anfield at the end of the season:

Coelho says he has sources close to Fernandez’s former team River Plate. The Argentinian club have a 25% sell-on clause so they will be informed if the midfielder is sold by Benfica.
It remains to be seen how accurate this information is. Deals for both Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez were first reported in the Portuguese press before English journalists verified the claims.
Fernandez is in huge demand following his performances for Argentina at the World Cup. The likes of Manchester United and Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the player but, if the Reds have secured the midfielder’s signature, it would be a massive coup.
