Liverpool are interested in Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, according to the Daily Mail reporter Simon Jones.
The English tabloid’s transfer expert claims the England international is on the Reds’ radar along with Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham, Wolves’ Matheus Nunes and Brighton’s Moises Caicedo.
Gallagher has reportedly been the subject of a £45m bid from Everton this week, while the likes of West Ham, Newcastle and Crystal Palace are said to be keeping tabs on his situation.
However, the chances of the 22-year-old leaving Stamford Bridge during the January transfer window were always quite low, especially after Arsenal made their move to sign Jorginho.
There is no doubt that Gallagher would fit in perfectly as a number eight in Liverpool’s midfield, with his high work rate and eye for goal. By next summer, though, it’s likely that Liverpool will be looking at prioritising moves for other players such as Bellingham and Nunes.
