REPORT: Liverpool Line Up Shock £87m Move For City Star

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool are keen on signing Manchester City attacking midfielder Bernardo Silva, according to Don Balon. The Spanish rumour-mongers suggest that the Citizens’ Champions League ban could help facilitate a move for the Portuguese international.

The Reds are said to be keen to capitalise whilst they are in a position of strength and are believed to be considering a €100m (£87m) offer for the 25-year-old.

Although Jurgen Klopp’s side have been performing to unparalleled levels this season, there is still a feeling that they could add some more guile in midfield, which Bernardo could provide.

For their part, City would be very reluctant to let the Portuguese leave, especially to a fierce rival, and it is reported that Pep Guardiola’s side would demand a higher figure to even consider offloading one of their key players.

It must be emphasised that this rumour is from Don Balon, who are not the most reliable of sources when it comes to these type of transfer stories. It would be wise to take this report with a large pinch of salt.
