Rhys Williams And Curtis Jones To Start, Jota On The Bench: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face West Ham

Liverpool now have seven players out injured, with manager Jurgen Klopp confirming neither Thiago nor Naby Keita will be fit for the game against West Ham tomorrow.

With Fabinho picking up a hamstring injury during the unconvincing 2-0 win over FC Midtjylland on Tuesday, Rhys Williams is almost certain to start alongside Joe Gomez in the centre of defence. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson will likely start as the fullbacks with Alisson in goal.

The 4-2-3-1 system has not really worked during the two games it has been employed so Klopp may go back to the usual 4-3-3 for this match, especially as Williams will need more protection in front of him. With so many midfielders sidelined, though, we could see Curtis Jones named in the eleven alongside captain Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum.

It will be harsh to leave Diogo Jota out, after scoring in his last two games, but Klopp did rest his whole front three versus Midtjylland so you would expect Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane to all start versus the Hammers.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face West Ham:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Rhys Williams, Gomez, Robertson, Jones, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane
