BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand expects new Liverpool signing Darwin Nunez to be a success at Anfield.
The former Manchester United defender says he was impressed with the Uruguayan when he saw him play in the Champions League last season and he believes he will be a great addition to Jurgen Klopp’s squad:

There is no doubt that there is an element of risk in the decision to pay £85m for Nunez. After all, he has only had one campaign where he has really shown his quality.
However, as Ferdinand mentioned, Virgil van Dijk is a big fan of Nunez, having gone up against him in the two matches versus Benfica last season, and you have to trust the judgement of both the Dutchman and Klopp.
Considering that a whole host of other teams, including United, Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham were also keen on the 22-year-old, it appears as though the Reds have pulled off a big coup in securing his signature.
