Robbie Savage Predicts Whether Liverpool Will Surpass City’s Record Points Total

BT Sport pundit Robbie Savage expects Liverpool to break the record league points total which is currently held by Manchester City.

Taking to Twitter this morning, Savage predicted that the Reds will finish on 110 points, ten ahead of the record set by City in the 2017/18 season:

With Savage predicting City will end up on 78 points this campaign, it means that Jurgen Klopp’s men would finish an astonishing 32 points ahead of second.

In terms of third and fourth, Savage has gone for Leicester City and Chelsea, who currently hold the same positions in the table.

With Liverpool on 73 points at the moment, it means that the Merseyside club would need another 37 points from their remaining 13 games. That would be 12 wins and one draw, which is massively optimistic even if you think that the team could stay unbeaten.

The Reds still have to go to Everton, Manchester City and Arsenal away from home this season, while they will also face Chelsea at Anfield in May.
