Salah To Start, Jota Out: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Take On Newcastle

Liverpool will want to get back to winning ways against Newcastle tomorrow afternoon. After a good first-half performance versus Leeds on Monday night, they would have been disappointed to draw the match at Elland Road.

They face a Magpies team in decent form, with Steve Bruce’s men having lost just one of their last seven league games, so this may not be as straightforward for the Reds as some would have you believe.

In terms of team selection, Alisson will be in goal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson as the two fullbacks. Nat Phillips has been ruled out with a hamstring injury so Fabinho is expected to line up alongside Ozan Kabak in the centre of defence.

That will likely mean we’ll see Georginio Wijnaldum, James Milner and Thiago Alcantara again in the middle of the park.

Up front, despite manager Jurgen Klopp saying that Diogo Jota is not injured, he has not been pictured in training this week so the Portuguese may be sitting this one out. That would allow Mo Salah to come back into the front three with Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Newcastle:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Fabinho, Kabak, Robertson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Thiago, Salah, Firmino, Mane
