Salah, Robertson And Thiago To Start, Henderson On The Bench: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Manchester City

Not many at the start of the season would have expected Liverpool to be thirteen points behind Manchester City heading into the first encounter between the two teams in October.

However, the Reds’ dire form means they are very much underdogs going into the game at Anfield this weekend, with many predicting the home side to lose.

In terms of the team that manager Jurgen Klopp will pick, Alisson will start in goal, with Ibrahima Konate and Virgil van Dijk expected to line up in the centre of defence.

As Andy Robertson is now fit again following a knee injury, the left-back could replace Kostas Tsimikas, with Joe Gomez deputising for Trent Alexander-Arnold on the opposite flank.

After starting on the bench against Rangers, Thiago will likely be recalled, and that may mean that captain Jordan Henderson is dropped, with Fabinho keeping his place.

Up front, it could be a front four of Diogo Jota on the left, Mo Salah on the right, Darwin Nunez leading the line and Roberto Firmino as the support striker.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Manchester City:

Alisson, Gomez, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Firmino, Nunez, Jota
