Liverpool forward Mo Salah took a photo of himself in front of a Pharoah as he begins his three-week break from football following the end of the Premier League season.

Sharing the picture on Twitter, the 28-year-old captioned it, wittily commenting “we really are everywhere”, referring, of course, to his Egyptian heritage:

Salah was also sporting his new fade haircut after deciding to do away with the Afro hairstyle which has been his trademark for much of his time at Liverpool.

Fans will be hoping he returns from his break fully refreshed for the upcoming season, which isn’t that far away.

Liverpool are due to play Arsenal in the Community Shield on August 30th later this month and will likely play a number of friendlies before that showpiece event. They are then expected to kick off their defence of the Premier League title a couple of weeks later on September 12th.
