Scholes Makes Frank Admission As He Explains Why Liverpool Or City “Will Win The Title”

Paul Scholes is backing either Liverpool or Manchester City to finish top of the table this season.

In what is a frank admission from the ex-Manchester United midfielder, he claims he can only see the Reds or City winning the title, due to the fact they are prepared to play attacking football:

“I think Liverpool or Man City will win the title. As much as you don’t want to say it, they are the two teams that do look the best in the Champions League. Liverpool – a brilliant team as well. They’re much more aggressive and attack-minded.”

Scholes has also criticised his former teammate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s use of two holding midfielders, citing that as the main reason why he can’t see the Red Devils winning the league.

The 46-year-old doesn’t even mention Chelsea, which is somewhat surprising, considering they are top after seven rounds of fixtures, but he clearly sees flaws in the Blues which have convinced him not to back Thomas Tuchel’s side.

When Liverpool played out a 2-2 draw against City last weekend, it did look like the two best teams in the country going head to head, but it remains to be seen who will last the course over the whole season.
