AC Milan are weighing up a move for Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic when the transfer window opens, according to TMW.

The Italian website claims that prospective new head coach Ralf Rangnick would be keen on signing the Serbian who has impressed during a loan spell at Hertha Berlin this season.

Grujic is currently expected to return to Anfield at the end of the month with the last round of Bundesliga games set to be played on June 27th.

It means that no loan extension will be required but his future with the Merseyside club beyond his spell in Germany remains in doubt.

Grujic has four goals and two assists in his 28 appearances for Hertha this campaign and they are not the sort of numbers which would suggest that he could force his way into Jurgen Klopp’s first team plans.

However, it remains to be seen whether Liverpool would be open to selling the 24-year-old if Milan table an official bid.
