Serie A Side ‘Politely’ Knock Back Liverpool’s 17.2M Bid For Ivorian Defender

Torino have “politely” rejected Liverpool’s €20m (£17.2m) offer for right-back Wilfried Singo, according to Tuttosport.

The Serie A side are believed to rate the Ivorian very highly and they are not willing to sell the defender so soon after the player signed a new contract.

Singo put pen to paper on a two and a half year deal back in November, with an option for a further year, but Torino are aware that the wingback is a player who is in demand.

Liverpool are not the only team keen on the 20-year-old, Tuttosport reports, with AC Milan also keeping tabs on the defender’s progress this season.

Whether the Reds will return with another proposal for Singo, we shall have to wait and see. Considering he would be in direct competition with Trent Alexander-Arnold for a place in the first team, it would be a surprise if the Merseyside club invested heavily in a backup option.
